Social engineering represents a serious threat in today's world. It is about using a series of techniques that will allow attacker to claim some confidential informations from victim or simply make victim to do something that is not in her interest. The best way to defend ourselves is to raise awareness among users, and to understand the seriousness or possibilty of attack. Taking into account the military environment, the defense principle is the same. It is important to educate soldiers to recognize the threat on time, and to be careful when dealing with confidential information. Handling with information during war is one of the most important factors that will decide on the winner. With proper security policy and educated soldiers, we can deffend ourselves better from attacks of social engineering.
