Le résumé fourni par la source

Iintroduction The aim of this study is to present two prototypes of the implantable inner part of a cochlear implant with an electrode designed by the author that could be removed from the implant body. The advantages of this prototype are that by medical indications for explantation of the inner part of the cochlear implant it is possible to remove only one part of it - the base part or the electrode itself. Materials and methods Considered were the materials used to produce the electrode of the implanted part, which are presented in the specifications of each company. Two prototypes were created. • The first prototype has the same length. Substantially new is the ability to divide the electrode from the implantable inner part. • The second prototype is different from the standard length (it is longer). For both prototypes the power failure was estimated. Finished prototypes with a removable implantable part of the cochlear implant were also tested under real conditions on humanoid models. Results The calculations and results of prototypes with an electrode detachable from the implantable part of the cochlear implant have proven their theoretical and practical feasibility. Discussion In medical indications for removal of the implantable part the correctly placed electrode could be preserved. Once the pathological process has been removed, the electrode can be plugged to the new body of the implantable part. This is crucial for maintaining the structures of the inner ear. The second prototype is important for the cases of regular MRI or CT controls, surgery in this region, or in patients who don't want to show their hearing problem. kein Poster-PDF A-1045.PDF Publication History Article published online: 10 June 2020 © 2020.
