Effects of head posture monitor after minimally invasive vitrectomy

Objective To investigate the clinical effects of head posture monitor on the patients who accept the prone position postoperative nursing after minimally invasive vitrectomy. Methods A total of 162 patients with minimally invasive vitrectomy combined with intraocular silicone oil or inert gas filling were divided into experimental group and control group by random number table, and 81 cases in each groups. The patients of control group using a bow and supine prone position postoperative routine nursing, the experimental group used nursing head posture monitor. Results There were significant differences in the complications of cataract, glaucoma and retinal detachment 2 months after surgery (P 0.05); there were no significant differences in systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure and corrected visual acuity between the two groups (P>0.05). Conclusions The head posture monitor is convenient and practical. Its application not only shorten the patients′ time to grasp the correct position, but also help the patients maintain correct position and enhance medical compliance. It can improve the patient′s self care ability and raise the patients and their families satisfaction, meanwhile reduce the occurrence of complications and promote an early recovery of patients.
