The SETI and METI science opens vast information scope for educational work with children. One of these directions is organization of cognitive lessons during the 'Hello, Galaxy!' Summer School in Pushchino: the result is schoolchildren's choice of stars suitable for SETI monitoring on the RT-22 radio telescope. In 2003 compilation of lists of stars for SETI monitoring was based on the popular hypothesis about crossing in the 'radio contact window' with an extraterrestrial civilization that may exist at a sunlike star. In 2005 this approach was supplemented with children's acquaintance with stellar evolution and with discussion of a new hypothesis about creation of radioemitting 'electromagnetic monuments' by lost (or doomed) exoplanet civilizations at the periphery of subgiant or red giant stars that were sunlike but left the main sequence. For the first time the hypothesis about the existence of radio civilizations on planets of red dwarfs was discussed. The stars selected in the framework of the working hypotheses were included in 2003 and 2005 into the RT-22 summer time monitoring, in which the schoolchildren took part.
