Designing automotive products that meet EMC requirements is not hard, and it's not rocket science. It's possible to consistently design and build components and systems that meet automotive EMC requirements on the first test pass. In fact, this is the norm at many companies, particularly where the cost and delays associated with testing, troubleshooting and fixing a product would be inconsistent with a successful marketing plan.
