RESUMO : O objetivo desse trabalho e analisar como o romance Parque Industrial (1933), de Patricia Galvao, rompe com o conceito de cânone estabelecido pela critica literaria para evidenciar o papel feminino por meio da mulher de tipo transitorio e novo tipo de mulher, conceitos de Kollontai (1978), que irrompem na sociedade a partir do desenvolvimento industrial. Para tal, revisitam-se e problematizam-se os conceitos de cânone e tradicao por autores como Kermode (1998) e Hobsbawn (1997) e se aporta teoricamente nos estudos de Kollontai (1978) e Saffioti (1976) sobre o novo tipo de mulher e feminismo. A metodologia obedeceu a abordagem qualitativa de ordem bibliografica e teve como corpus o romance anteriormente citado. O estudo permitiu verificar que embora nao figure no cânone literario, a obra de Patricia Galvao, atraves de seus personagens, mimetiza papeis e situacoes sociais importantes para os Estudos Culturais, sobretudo no que diz respeito a figura da nova mulher na literatura. ABSTRACT : The main objective of this research is analyse how the novel  Parque Industrial  (1933), by Patricia Galvao breaks with the concept set by the specialized critic to evidence the women role through the type of transition women and the new type of women, concepts by Kollontai (1978), that came up in society by the time of industrial development. For such, it was revised and problematized the canon concepts and traditions by authors such as Kermode (1998) e Hobsbawn (1997) and grounds itself theoretically on Kollontai’s (1978) and Saffioti’s (1976) researches about the new women type and feminism. The methodology followed the qualitative approach of bibliographic order and had as  corpus  the novel mentioned above. The study also allowed to verify that although it doesn’t appear in literary canon, the work of Patricia Galvao, through her characters, mimes the roles and relevant social situations to Cultural Studies, mostly about the role of the new woman in literature.
