The predominant goal of this articleis to perform a semantic analysis of the notion of convincing. The initial part of the text in question is oriented towards distinguishing lexical items incorporating the przekonać verb. They are as follows: ktośa przekonał kogośb (do tego), żeby_, ktośa przekonał kogośb czymśx do czegośy, cośa przekonało kogoś do czegośb, ktośa przekonał kogośb (o tym), że_, ktośa przekonał kogośb do kogośc and ktoś przekonał się (o tym), że_. Afterwards, one of them is discussed in detail, namely — ktośa przekonał kogośb (do tego), żeby_. The analysis is proceeded by the attempt of the author to define the examined sequences.
