The objective of this paper was to measure the impacts of three IAC peanuts cultivars over that crop total factor productivity in the State of Sao Paulo, Brazil. Data envelopment analysis and Malmquist productivity index were utilized. The public effected investments in the new peanuts cultivars were considered as an input. The results showed that the total factor productivity in peanut farming that used IAC cultivars grew between 32% and 80%, in the period from 1999 to 2008. The total productivity of factors in peanut farming that used other cultivars diminished 40% in the same period.
