This document describes the proposed rapid assessment of poverty impact (RAPI) method, and discusses issues that arise in using the method for assessing rural road projects. It notes special issues that arise in adapting the method to an Ethiopian road project. The document indicates how to adapt the method to other projects. The next step will be a field test of the method, which will generate useful feedback to modify the basic method provided here
