Out-of-pocket expenditure(OOP)is an important component of the total expenditure on health.It is of an important indicator for analysis and evaluation of the economical burden of the residents and the equity of health financing.It is always difficult to measure OOP in health expenditure in the world.It is extremely significant that a scientific and systematic method is used to measure OOP expenditure,because it is beneficial to carry out an accurate analysis and evaluation of health policy.Shandong Province is taken as an example.Firstly,a variance analysis of the different data sources is analyzed in measuring OOP expenditure,then the impact of using different data sources on the total expenditure on health is also analyzed,at last discussion is made.
