Simulation and Experiment of NO_x Absorption in Structured Packing Columns
Résumé fourni par la source
For solving the problem of industrial NOx pollution, a mathematic model of nitrogen oxide absorption was developed and solved under an adiabatic condition in structured packing columns on the basis of double-film theory. Removal rate, outlet concentration, oxidation degree of NOx, outlet acid concentration, and liquid acid temperature were simulated and tested. The gas phase reactions and equilibria, gas phase mass transfer, interface equilibria, and liquid phase reactions were included in the model. Absorption of nitrogen oxides was studied in eight packing columns in series with an output of 20 000 t oxalic acid per year. Favorable agreement is shown between the model predictions and the in situ observations.
