Research of 3-D horizontal well path design of multilateral well

This paper has made the detailed theoretical analysis of 3-D horizontal well plan and tested well path plan software. Based on the characteristics of 3-D branch well path plan,this paper used the space geometry analytic method,and established a model in the 3-D space slanting plane for the horizontal well path plan and calculation,at the same time,the paper presented the program of multilateral well path plan.The program could calculate the segment data,to provide data to support the visualization of 3-D well path plan.Meanwhile,research results of this paper can also be widely used in design and calculations of branch wells,directional wells, horizontal wells,as well as the extended reach wells.
