Olympic spirit originally grew out of common people's love and appreciation for sport and competition. Similarly, Beijing's bid to host the 2008 Olympic Games has the support of everyday Beijing residents: women, children, the elderly, students and professionals alike. If the bid succeeds, it will be a New Beijing, Great Olympics.
