Implied Meaning in English-Chinese Translation
Le résumé fourni par la source
A good translation is one that first of all conveys the original meaning completely and exactly. So as to achieve this,a translator must realize that there might be various meanings in the form of the source text, and that not all the meanings are expressed explicitly. We have to ponder both the explicit and the implicit meaning to discover what the author of the source text really wants to say. This paper discusses the significance of implied meaning for a translator.
