【Objective】To study the technique point and feasibility of retroperitoneal laparoscopy and urethral resectoscope in total nephroureterectomy with excision of bladder cuff.【Methods】Total nephroureterectomy with excision of bladder cuff by retroperitoneal laparoscopy and urethral resectoscope was performed in 5 patients of pyel-ic transitional cell carcinoma verified through pathology.【Results】Success has been achieved in all cases without complications. The operative time was 120￣240 min with a mean of 150 min. There were no tumor recurrence,metastasis and implantation in all cases followed up for 3￣9 months after the operation. 【Conclusions】 Total nephroureterectomy with excision of bladder cuff by retroperitoneal laparoscopy and urethral resectoscope is proved to be effective with minimal invasion,quicker recovery.
