The MAX12557 is a new kind of 14-bit high-speed analog-to-digital converter(ADC)featur-ing low power,small size and high dynamic performance.The circuit has low cost and can be used easi-ly.The MAX12557 can be widely used in low-power data acquisition,I/Q receivers and portable instru-mentation etc.Its main character,internal structures and operation theory are introduced,and an exam-ple of its application in wide-band IF digital receivers is given.
