Clinical Analysis of 14 Cases of Subacute Cutaneous Lupus Erythematosus and Treatment with Tradi tional Chi-nese Medicine or Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine

Objective To investigate the clinical characteristics of subacute cutaneous lupus erythematosus(SCLE)and observe effecacy treated by traditional Chinese medicine or integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine.Meth ods The clinical and laboratory findings of14patients with SCLE were analyzed.9cases were treated with Qin-glingcao Formula(QLCF,a formula of Chinese herbs),3cases with QLCF and hydroxychloroquine,2cases with QLCF and prednisone.Results Photosensitivity was prevalent in SCLE patients,high ratio of positive anti-SSA/Ro antibody was observed,but systemic manifestations were mild.After3months of treatment,clinical cure rate was35.71%,marked improvement rate was28.57%,improvement rate was21.43%,and no improvement rate was14.29%.Conclu sions SCLE has remarkable clinical features.QLCF has good effects on SCLE treatment.
