Effect observation of mental intervention in perioperative patients with pancreatic cancer

Objective: To explore the effect of mental intervention on the anxiety and depression in patients with pancreatic cancer.Methods: 86 patients with pancreatic cancer were divided into mental intervention group(41 cases) and control group(45 cases).The patients in control group were giving routine nursing,while patients in other group were superadded mental intervention,cognitive therapy,psychological counseling and relaxation training.All the patients were evaluated by self-rating anxiety scale(SAS) and self-rating depression scale(SDS) before and after three weeks' mental intervention.Results: Three weeks later,the SAS and the SDS of intervention group were lower than that of control group.The SAS and the SDS in both groups were better than three weeks before.Conclusion: Mental intervention can improve the anxiety and depression in patients with pancreatic cancer.
