EFFICACY OF GANCICLOVIR PLUS ANDROGRAPHOLIDE FOR CHILDREN WITH HAND-FOOT-MOUTH DISEASE

Objective To evaluate the efficacy of Ganciclovir plus andrographolide for hand-foot-mouth disease. Methods Eighty-five patients were randomly divided into two groups: treatment group(44 cases),Ganciclovir plus andrographolide were given;control group(41),Ribavirin and vitamin C. Results The outcome was better in treatment group than the control,the difference was significant(u=2.2,P0.05).No obvious untoward effects were noted in both groups. Conclusion A good therapeutic result can be obtained by combined Ganciclovir with andrographolide for hand foot and mouth disease in children.
