Evaluation of coupling relationship and coordination degree between expressway construction and regional economic development in Anhui

Based on the analysis of current situation of expressway and regional economy in Anhui, we established an evaluation index system by setting up a model for analyzing the coordination degree between expressway and regional economic using coupling theory, and the interaction between expressway and regional economic in 16 cities of Anhui province showed as follows.(1) The coordination degree between expressway and regional economic in the north region is low, and the regional economy needs further development for supporting expressway construction;(2) The coordination level between expressway and regional economic in the central region is relatively high, and the both bring out the best in each other;(3)The coordination coupling level between the expressway and regional economic in the south region is minimum, the expressway is off the scale, with a high vacancy rate, and is more likely to be the burden to the regional economic development.
