Relação drogas-trabalho na construção de carreiras desviantes
Résumé fourni par la source
The purpose of this study is to deepen our understanding of an area of research which has so far been subject to little development: the relationship between work and drugs, more specifically the interaction between the working career and the consumption of illegal drugs, over the course of an individual’s life. After summarising the bibliographic review and defining the theoretical and conceptual framework for this investigation, a presentation is given of the empirical study carried out. By using a theoretical-methodological perspective, based on the principles of symbolic interaction and the theory of the social agent, six qualitative interviews were carried out, in depth, on a selective, theoretic sample group made up of six members, two (one man and one woman) for each decade in which drug consumption began. (70s, 80s and 90s). In order to analyse the narrative produced by the subjects, regarding their work and consumption of illegal drugs, we used categorical analysis as a milestone. Two main forms of interaction were identified between the different paths: (1) drugs in the working career (2) work in the drug projects.
