Chromosomal assignments of the genes for the calcineurin A alpha (Calna1) and A beta (Calna2) subunits in the rat genome were performed by polymerase chain reaction/single-strand conformation polymorphism (PCR/SSCP) analysis of somatic cell hybrid DNAs. Both genes, Calna1 and Calna2, were assigned to rat chromosome 15.
