We subsequently examined the effects of cefoperazone sodium on prothrombin time in greater detail (3). The trial included 894 patients. Most patients received 2 g of cefoperazone sodium twice per day. Data on prothrombin time was adequate for analysis in 695 (78%) of patients enrolled in the study.
