Relaxation processes in capron under irradiation
Le résumé fourni par la source
The authors have studied relaxation processes in unloaded oriented capron upon electron bombardment and ultraviolet irradiation at different temperatures; they have investigated the effect of loading and preliminary thermal annealing. They have established that at certain temperatures, the radiation-induced creep of capron is determined by the radiation-induced acceleration of intermolecular rearrangement processes. The activation energy barriers for slippage of supermolecular structures of the polymer in the glassy state are raised as the temperature is lowered.
