Le résumé fourni par la source
This chapter shows that the ferromagnetism in the occupied surface bands is consistent with the Stoner model for itinerant magnetism. Spin-polarized scanning tunnelling microscopy (SP-STM) is a method of choice to image and to characterize spin dependent electronic properties of nanostructures with unsurpassed spatial resolution on the atomic scale. The chapter analyzes the interfacial effects between La2/3Sr1/3MnO3 (LSMO) thin films and different capping layers by using x-ray absorption techniques, x-ray diffraction and transport measurements. Nanoparticle superlattices can be considered as novel type of materials with controllable electronic, optical, magnetic or mechanical properties. The chapter intends to exploit oxide interfaces established in composite nanostructures synthesized by colloidal chemistry methods. It examines the nanoparticle assemblies in-situ during the self-assembling process using an optimized GISAXS setup to investigate the kinetic during deposition. Controlled Vocabulary Terms composite material interfaces; ferromagnetism; nanoparticles; scanning tunnelling microscopy; superlattices
