Stern Boat Deployment Systems and Operability

This paper documents the findings of the worldwide survey and the current state of the art for boat deployment assessment. Specifically, criteria for stern-ramp motions, a ramp availability criterion and stern-ramp deployed boat criteria are covered, along with an example case using these criteria to establish the percent time operability (PTO) of stern ramp operations for typical ocean environments.
