Le résumé fourni par la source
A stellarator fusion experiment, Wendelstein 7-X (W7-X), is currently being erected at the Max-Planck-lnstitute fur Plasnaphysik (IPP), Greifswald Branch, Germany. Aim of this facility is to show the principal suitab lity of a stellarator for future economic power production by nuclear fusion. The results of the W7-X experiment wili be important decision criteria with regard lo construction of a first demonstrations power plant. After a short survey of fusion research, the layout and function of W7-X as well as the current state of construction are described. Particular emphasis is placed on the cryo-coinponents and the extended helium rofncjeration system.
