Based on $122\ifmmode\times\else\texttimes\fi{}{10}^{6}\mathit{\ensuremath{\Upsilon}}(3S)$ events collected with the BABAR detector, we have observed the $\mathit{\ensuremath{\Upsilon}}({1}^{3}{D}_{J})$ bottomonium state through the $\mathit{\ensuremath{\Upsilon}}(3S)\ensuremath{\rightarrow}\ensuremath{\gamma}\ensuremath{\gamma}\mathit{\ensuremath{\Upsilon}}({1}^{3}{D}_{J})\ensuremath{\rightarrow}\ensuremath{\gamma}\ensuremath{\gamma}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{+}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{\ensuremath{-}}\mathit{\ensuremath{\Upsilon}}(1S)$ decay chain. The significance for the $J=2$ member of the $\mathit{\ensuremath{\Upsilon}}({1}^{3}{D}_{J})$ triplet is 5.8 standard deviations including systematic uncertainties. The mass of the …

We present a study of the decays ${B}^{0}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{D}^{0}{K}^{*0}$ and ${B}^{0}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{\overline{D}}^{0}{K}^{*0}$ with ${K}^{*0}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{K}^{+}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{\ensuremath{-}}$. We present measurements of the semileptonic decays ${B}^{\ensuremath{-}}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{D}^{0}{\ensuremath{\tau}}^{\ensuremath{-}}{\overline{\ensuremath{\nu}}}_{\ensuremath{\tau}}$, ${B}^{\ensuremath{-}}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{D}^{*0}{\ensuremath{\tau}}^{\ensuremath{-}}{\overline{\ensuremath{\nu}}}_{\ensuremath{\tau}}$, ${\overline{B}}^{0}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{D}^{+}{\ensuremath{\tau}}^{\ensuremath{-}}{\overline{\ensuremath{\nu}}}_{\ensuremath{\tau}}$, and ${\overline{B}}^{0}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{D}^{*+}{\ensuremath{\tau}}^{\ensuremath{-}}{\overline{\ensuremath{\nu}}}_{\ensuremath{\tau}}$, which are potentially sensitive to non-standard model amplitudes. We report observations of $CP$ violation in the decays ${B}^{0}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{K}^{+}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{\ensuremath{-}}$ and ${B}^{0}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{+}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{\ensuremath{-}}$ in a sample of $383\ifmmode\times\else\texttimes\fi{}{10}^{6}$ $\ensuremath{\Upsilon}(4S)\ensuremath{\rightarrow}B\overline{B}$ events. We find $4372\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}82$ ${B}^{0}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{K}^{+}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{\ensuremath{-}}$ decays and measure the direct $CP$-violating charge asymmetry ${\mathcal{A}}_{K\ensuremath{\pi}}=\ensuremath{-}0.107\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}0.018(\mathrm{stat}{)}_{\ensuremath{-}0.004}^{+0.007}(\mathrm{syst})$, which excludes the $CP$-conserving hypothesis with a significance of 5.5 …
