High transverse momentum hadron spectra at sNN=17.3 GeV in Pb+Pb and p+p collisions

Transverse momentum spectra up to $4.5\phantom{\rule{0.3em}{0ex}}\mathrm{GeV}/c$ around midrapidity of ${\ensuremath{\pi}}^{\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}},p,\overline{p}$, and ${K}^{\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}}$ in $\mathrm{Pb}+\mathrm{Pb}$ reactions were measured at $\sqrt{{s}_{{}_{\mathit{NN}}}}=17.3\phantom{\rule{0.3em}{0ex}}\mathrm{GeV}$ by the CERN-NA49 experiment. The nuclear modification factors ${R}_{\mathit{AA}}$ for ${\ensuremath{\pi}}^{\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}}$ and ${R}_{\mathrm{CP}}$ for ${\ensuremath{\pi}}^{\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}},p,\overline{p},{K}^{\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}}$ were extracted and compared with results obtained at …
