This Letter describes a direct measurement of the $W$ boson decay width, $\ensuremath{\Gamma}(W)$, using the high-mass tail of the transverse mass spectrum of $W\ensuremath{\rightarrow}e\ensuremath{\nu}$ decays recorded by the Collider Detector at Fermilab.
